Sandy Beach

How much sand will the tide remove from the beach during this 6 hour period?

This is a new equation now becuase the sand is getting remove by tides but it is also getting sand for the pumping stations. To get the correct anwers u must and S(T) and R(T) like this
Y(t)=[S(t)-R(t)]+2500 becuase it started at 0 with 2500.
Find the rate at which the total amount of sand on the beach is changing at time t=4? By using the equation above your answer would be -1.909 cubic yards per hour.

Well first you make y(t)=0 the same equation on b which u find your ciritical point. Then am nat sure about the rest.....but u find where the slope is negativ and positive.

  3. for part D, wouldnt you set S(t) - R(t)=2500 equal to zero?

    i didnt do it like that, but that seems the right way to do it
